Heaven High and Happy Monday!
How was your Monday morning? Are you wanting to hit the reset button or are you just going to power through it? I’ve decided to power through my morning. I’ve got my cup of coffee in hand and the sun shining through the windows. I’m ready to tackle this Monday!
Today I want to talk about the importance of social media. Like most business owners and entrepreneurs out there, I don’t just view Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest as platforms in which I can interact with friends. These (and other) social media sites are another way for me to market my brand and my products.
Social media allows me to interact with possible clients and consumers. We can talk about their experiences. I can ask them questions about how they are enjoying their products. They can share their concerns and their personal stories with me.
If you’re somewhat new to social media, I suggest that you check out this great 25-minute (crash course) video from Guy Kawasaki. It might seem a bit dated (it’s from 2013) but it is still relevant and is a great introduction into social media.
Always try to get more followers if you want to use your social media like a marketing platform. Like Guy Kawasaki says, “There are two types of people: those who want more followers and those who are lying.” It’s painfully true, isn’t it? You want eyeballs in order to generate good stuff that will appeal to them. It’s really a vicious cycle.
