How Much Do You NEED To Succeed?

Heaven High and Happy Wednesday!

What I’ve always found interesting about personal growth is that we all have the ability to generate the ‘capital’ within us to afford the things we think we really NEED.  This kind of capital comes basically from an internal recognition and understanding that we need to transform ourselves to become worthy of the things we want (whether they’re material things or otherwise).

We’re all capable of doing it but identifying the attitudes that we need to change isn’t always easy.  That’s where mentors come into the picture…like I do for my executive coaching clients.

In Hollywood, this mentoring is what acting coaches do for young, aspiring actors.  Hollywood agents play a role in this talent-molding process too by guiding the young actor along the long road to success, keeping them motivated, realistic and ‘on-course’.

Agents help their students by reminding them that if they don’t have a real need, a real ‘drive’, to succeed in the business of acting…’s never going to happen for them.  To be successful in acting or any other business there has to be a realistic understanding of the difference between casually wanting something vs. the all-consuming need to have it.  This is the test that life throws in front of everybody who tries to rise above ‘average and ordinary’.

That’s a big key….are you honest with yourself about how hot your motivational fires are to drive you to what you say you want.  You can have or do anything you want if you’re willing to pay the price in time and effort.  The key question for you is…do you have a Need to Succeed in you?

Do you?
